What Is Check-in?
Check-in is the process of confirming your presence and completing necessary formalities before using a service—such as boarding a flight, staying at a hotel, or attending an event.
Airport Flight Check-in
- Arrive at the airport at least 2–3 hours before domestic flights (3–4 hours for international).
- Have your ID and booking confirmation ready.
- Proceed to the airline counter or use a self-service kiosk.
- Check baggage if needed and receive your boarding pass.
- Go through security screening and proceed to your gate.
Online Check-in (Flights)
- Visit your airline’s website or mobile app 24–48 hours before departure.
- Enter your booking reference and last name.
- Select seats (if available) and download or save your boarding pass.
- Arrive at the airport with enough time for security and boarding.
Hotel Check-in
- Arrive at the hotel during standard check-in hours (usually after 2–3 PM).
- Present a valid ID and credit card at the front desk.
- Confirm your reservation and room type.
- Receive your room key and information about amenities.
Event Check-in
- Bring your ticket (digital or printed) and ID.
- Locate the registration or check-in desk at the venue.
- Provide your name or scan your ticket barcode.
- Receive any materials (badge, program, etc.) and directions.
