什么是 Functional Words？
Functional words（功能词）是英语中不表示具体含义，但用于构建句子结构、表达语法关系的词汇。 它们通常没有独立的词汇意义，但在句法和语义连接中起关键作用。
常见的 Functional Words 分类
- 冠词（Articles）：a, an, the
- 介词（Prepositions）：in, on, at, by, with, about, for 等
- 连词（Conjunctions）：and, but, or, because, although, if 等
- 代词（Pronouns）：he, she, it, they, we, you, I, this, that, these, those 等

功能词 vs 实义词（Content Words）
与功能词相对的是实义词（Content Words），如名词（dog, idea）、动词（run, think）、形容词（happy, large）和副词（quickly, very）， 它们承载句子的主要语义信息。而功能词则像“胶水”一样，把实义词粘合成完整的句子。
