在英语学习中，动词 spend 后接动词时，常常让人困惑：应该用不定式（to do）还是动名词（doing）？
实际上，spend 后通常只接动名词（doing），而不能直接接不定式（to do）。
结构为：
spend + 时间/金钱 + doing somethingin 可省略）✅ I spent two hours reading the book.
✅ She spent all her money traveling around Europe.
✅ They spent the weekend cleaning the house.
动词 spend 是一个后接动名词的动词（verb + -ing），类似于 enjoy、avoid 等。
英语中没有 spend time to do something 这种标准用法。
❌ I spent an hour to fix the computer. （错误）
✅ I spent an hour fixing the computer. （正确）
有些动词（如 take、need、decide）后接不定式，容易与 spend 混淆：
spend + 时间/金钱 + doing 是唯一正确结构。spend ... to do。
