“Threaten to” 是一个常见的英语动词短语，表示“威胁要做某事”或“有迹象表明某事即将发生（通常指不好的事情）”。
它既可以用于描述人的主观威胁行为，也可以用于描述客观情况的发展趋势。

主语 + threaten to + 动词原形

两种主要用法
1. 表示“某人威胁要做某事”
通常带有主观意图，说话者有意通过言语施加压力。

2. 表示“某事似乎即将发生（多指负面事件）”
