What Is Language?

Language is a structured system of communication that consists of grammar and vocabulary. It is the primary means by which humans convey meaning, express emotions, share ideas, and build relationships.

While often associated with speech, language can also be expressed through writing, sign, or other symbolic systems. It is both a cognitive ability and a cultural artifact, shaped by society and history.
